Introducing Heroes for Tomorrow

  • Meet Arti For Girls

The beneficiary of this project, Aarti For Girls, is based in Kadapa, India. The main goal of Aarti For Girls is to educate and empower young girls (orphans and those with single parents). Aarti For Girls provides all students with an English-based education and shelters orphan students in the Aarti Village, a home that tries to give students the feeling of family. This foundation aims to supply all children with an education, no matter their domestic situation or socioeconomic background.

  • Our plan to help

Our goal is to produce a book of short stories written and published by the students at Aarti for Girls, to create a Lifetime Fund— a constant source of donations— for the organization. This Lifetime Fund is intended to assist volunteers and children in their daily lives, as well as improve the living standards of the nonprofit, which operates in a rural, low-income town. Necessities including toothbrushes, medical kits, and basic hygiene products are not readily available, so we intend to providing funding to fill the gap.

  • Promoting shared values

In addition to supporting Aarti For Girls with funding, our project is meant to inspire younger generations of all financial backgrounds and instill in them confidence that they have the potential to achieve their dreams. We stand firmly by the philosophy that it is crucial to encourage and foster talent, passion, and creativity in the minds of our future leaders. The success of our project can be measured by the impact it has on younger students, especially financially and socially disadvantaged kids.

What is Aarti for Girls?

Since its founding, Aarti For Girls has worked to decrease the boy-to-girl ratio in the Kadapa District and made a meaningful effort to end the stigma around educating girls. Aarti For Girls has proudly rescued over 2,500 children from child labor, over 1,950 girls from abuse, and prevented more than 1,600 child marriages. Because many students come to Aarti for Girls from traumatized backgrounds (either death of a parent or domestic abuse), the foundation provides counseling for these disturbed children. Aarti For Girls has drastically decreased the school dropout rates in the Kadapa District. Since its establishment, Aarti For Girls has helped over 1,500,000 children and continues to save thousands of girls from abuse, prostitution, child marriages, and child labor.

Learn about our plan.

“We intend to collaborate with all the students studying at the Aarti For Girls English Medium School to write around 15 short stories. We will hold virtual sessions with the students for two weeks in June and interact with each class of students to hold discussions to brainstorm for story ideas. We will guide the students through the entire process and take care of all the formatting, editing, and publishing.

“The students will design any additional images to supplement the stories. We will sell the book on D2D, a self-publishing platform, and Amazon KDP, which has access all around the world. 20% of the funds raised will be sent directly to the foundation and the remaining 80% will be used to purchase and send hygiene products (soaps, shampoos, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other such toiletries) and medical supplies that are difficult to access in that specific region.”

We will work to promote success of the book by reaching out to local libraries, elementary schools, family and friends, and teachers. Our target goal is to raise $5K with our novel and acquire supplemental corporate grants to achieve our fundraising goal.

The World Family Children Foundation is looking for dedicated volunteers to help us with this project, to manage outreach with school teachers, public libraries, school libraries, FUSD schools, daycare services, preschools, and local foster homes; coordinate meetings, send emails, and call donors.
